I am interested in designing, developing and facilitating workshops and training on a variety of topics.  My current area of interest is related to growth mindset, language learning and student motivation and will present at two TESL conferences in 2015.  I am also developing course materials and teaching in TESL programs with an interest in working overseas to deliver short term teacher training programs. 

Reducing the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes for ESL Learners:

My other passion is in the area of diabetes. My personal experience as a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes led me to understand and appreciate the ongoing challenges of managing this disease.

 

As an ESL teacher, I discovered that many ethnic groups (my students) are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes which compelled me to develop "Diabetes - Reducing the Risk", for ESL learners. I will gladly share this resource and present to groups.
